Hails and Farewells
We welcome new teachers: Renee, Rikki, Aria, Ayeisha, and Karahya. We welcome Lynnell back after her summer break. We say a fond farewell to our summer help: Shannon, Brittany, and Laila. We also say farewell to La’Princia and wish her well on her new venture.
Mara's Memos
We hope everyone had a wonderful summer, the time went by so quickly! We enjoyed ourselves here with all our special days. Our Cow-a-bunga VBS was a huge hit as our children learned to grow with our faithful God. The farm animal petting zoo was the perfect end to our amazing summer of fun! Now we are looking forward to our new school year, starting August 4th. For Shape Week, please allow your child to bring in a show and tell item every day that correlates to the shape of the day. The order is square, triangle, circle, rectangle, and diamond. On College Colors Day, dress your child in your favorite team's colors and we have a day full of football fun.
We will have lots of new friends joining us, so please help out those new parents that need an old pro to show them the ropes. However, please do not hold the front doors open for anyone. EVERYONE needs to put in their own code. Public school starts back August 6th and the traffic will be a nightmare for the first week or two. Give yourself some extra time and say a little prayer before you leave your house each day.
DSS requires parents to update all paperwork every year. If you have not already, please turn in your parent packet and updated immunization records ASAP. We must have them BEFORE the first day of school or we will be unable to accept your child on the 4th. Please make sure you don’t leave any blank spaces. The last page is for Tuition Express automatic payments and does not have to be filled out if you choose to opt out of the automated system.
Material fees will be added to your account and are due Monday, August 4th. They are considered late on August 6th at noon and late fees will be added.
All of our rates and fees increase on August 4th. Please make notes of your new tuition rate and all fee increases.
Please make sure your mat has no tears or rips as that violates DHEC regulations. NOW is the time to buy a kindermat or two ( I recommend 2 so you have a back up) as they are difficult to find later in the year.
