Hails and Farewells
We said goodbye to Rachel and wished her well with her new bundle of joy! We also said farewell to Nykia for the summer. We welcome back Tierra and Mariah. We added Jordan, Reagan, and Sidni to the family!
Mara's Memos
I hope everyone is ready for summer and the heat! We have been blessed with a very mild spring, but that's about to change. Don't forget to send in a water bottle daily and take it home on Fridays for a good washing. It is best to apply sunscreen in the morning before you drop off as the children go outside every day. If you plan on leaving sunscreen for us to reapply in the afternoon, a medication authorization form must be filled out. Leave the sunscreen and the form in the office and we will get it to your teacher. Do not leave any sunscreen, lotion, chapstick, bugspray, or medication in your child's cubby. IF the temperature outside factoring in the heat index is over 95 degrees we will limit outdoor play to 20 minutes. If it is over 99 degrees we will implement indoor recess for the entire recess time. As my last summer reminder: I know sandals are cute and cool for the summer, but we prefer tennis shoes that protect the children's feet while on our playground that is mostly sand and woodchips. Flip flops are not allowed. Please let us know at least two weeks in advance and in writing if your child will be leaving us. We have a short form you can fill out in the office or you can just email us. If you paid the book fee for next school year and want to take the summer off, please let us know in advance and in writing that you want to utilize this option. Please note your child can't return until August 3rd if you remove them for the summer. This option is only available to those children entering our Threes and Fours classes for next school year. We are looking forward to our special events this summer. For color week, dress your child in the color of the day and they can bring in a show and tell item that color. Our VBS is an Hawaiian theme. Please let them dress up in their favorite island gear every day! Mahalo everybody!

Things to Remember
Make sure you have a complete change of summer clothes, including socks, in your child's cubby. Keep a light jacket/sweatshirt in the cubby year round. Sneakers recommended. No drop off during nap time. No drop offs after 9:30 am without a doctor's note. You must call before 9:30 am to let us know if you will be late and bring in the doctor's note.. Tuition is due on Mondays. A $4 late fee will be added at noon starting on Wednesday and every day thereafter until the balance is paid in full.. The credit card swipe fee is $3 every time a card is used. Please send in a labeled water bottle every morning. We go outside every day. Please apply sunscreen in the mornings before dropping off your child.
